This past Saturday, 5/4/24, Rain or shine, a passionate and dedicated group of people from all over the David Douglas School District and beyond came together on a drizzly Spring Day to celebrate a momentous occasion: the groundbreaking event for David Douglas High School’s cutting-edge Career & Technical Education (CTE) center.

Purposeful Design, Inclusive Spaces

The DDHS Center Project was meticulously designed with purpose in mind. Safety, functionality, and accessibility take center stage, ensuring that students and staff can thrive. But it doesn’t stop there—comfort is woven into every corner, making the center a welcoming hub for learning and growth.

Pathways Unveiled

Imagine a space where students can explore their passions and visualize their futures. The CTE center aims to do just that. By showcasing a diverse array of post-secondary career pathways, it ignites motivation and inspires pride. Exploring the Construction to Date

This past May 1st, 2024, a dedicated team converged upon the nearly completed Evergreen Public School Transportation Center. As representatives from Evergreen Public Schools Facilities & Communications/Engagement walked through the facility, they witnessed firsthand the progress achieved to date.

Guided by Ali Abbaszadegan, our Senior Project Manager at R&C Management Group, the team engaged in constructive conversations with Evergreen Facilities Team, GBD Architects, and Robinson Construction. Their insights, adjustments, and approvals are shaping a facility that will revolutionize transportation for the Evergreen district.

The Vision Unveiled - Form Meets Function

The Evergreen Public School Transportation Center isn’t merely a structure; it’s a symphony of purpose. Let’s delve into its key components:

NEWS/PR: Fern Ridge School District Announces Bond Update

Measure 20-354 addresses needs identified by the community to make capital improvements district-wide, without increasing taxes based on the historical average tax rate. Ballots are due by 8:00 PM on May 21, 2024.

 The Fern Ridge School District is seeking to address the needs of its community to make key improvements to enhance schools and provide an even better learning environment for students.

 Improved Safety, Modernized Educational Spaces, Improved Heating & Cooling Systems, and Enhanced Outdoor Athletic Facilities all are categories for what this Bond will positively impact across the district.

Gary Carpenter, FRSD Superintendent recently lead FRSD Bond Q&A, to share information & resources, providing a comprehensive overview of the Bond as well as answering questions of the community.

Scott Rose, Senior Program & Project Manager of R&C Management Group is honored to be working with the Fern Ridge School District on their Long-Range Planning since 2014. Scott has also supported Facility Planning & Assessments, and as an active member in the FRSD Bond Committee.

Scott recently participated in the latest FRSD Bond Q&A, to further inform & engage the community, and towards the end of the meeting he was able to share an example of how a key HVAC System Controls Improvement in the Bond will positively impact long term operating costs of the district for years to come.

Ridgefield high school students were invited to connect with and speak to multiple trade professionals

about future job opportunities as they explore their post K-12 options

Electricians, sheet metal fabricators, and more industry representatives provided information and met with students. 

All students were required to get their trade show “passports” stamped - encouraging them to explore options in all aspects of the trades. 

One student commented to R&C about the role of project managers, “It did not even occur to me that this kind of work was out there.” 

The district coupled this event with a ribbon cutting of their new construction skills center and hope to make this an annual student opportunity.

CTE Ribbon cutting & TradeShow

R&C Management Group is proud to manage the installation of a new Construction Trades Building for the Ridgefield School District

As part of a growing movement in SW Washington to introduce more trades to high school students. 

This building will include shed construction in the short term and eventually grow the program to construct Tiny Homes with local partners assisting in the construction trade training.

On July 24, 2023, R&C Management sponsored a hole for the 13th Annual Ridgefield Public School Foundation’s Golf Tournament.

A great time was had by R&C Management team members Derek Morgan, Adam Cormack, Ali Abbaszadegan, and Dan Bodell as they played a round at the Tri-Mountain Golf Course.
