Guiding All Students Toward Opportunities Necessary for success
Gaston School District
Established in 1852, the Gaston School District has a long-standing tradition of serving the community with dedication and pride. The district, which covers the city of Gaston and parts of neighboring Yamhill County, includes Gaston Elementary School and Gaston Junior/Senior High School, all located on a single campus in the heart of Gaston.
At R&C Management, we are honored to support a district that prioritizes a comprehensive and inclusive education for all students. With a student population of approximately 483 Gaston School District is committed to providing a nurturing and effective learning environment.
The district’s rich history is marked by significant milestones, from the construction of its first high school in 1916 to recent upgrades and expansions funded by state grants and community bonds. These improvements ensure that Gaston School District continues to offer high-quality education and facilities, preparing students for future success.
June of 2024 - Facility Assessments and Long-Range Facility Planning
Gaston School District hired R&C Management Group again to conduct Facility Assessments and Long-Range Facility Planning. Scott Rose, R&C’s Senior Program/Project Manager and Accredited ODE Facility Assessor will assess each facility in the district, documenting, and submitting all paperwork per ODE TAP Grant and OSCIM requirements.
Long-Range Facility Planning begins in the Fall of 2024 when key stakeholder groups of faculty, students, and community can provide input and help shape the long-term strategy for the district.
May of 2016 - Gaston School District Passes Bond
In partnership with their greater community, Gaston School District successfully passed a $12M bond measure. In addition to the bond measure the district received state grants which increased the total available funds to $18.3M. The combined budget empowered the district to provide for the expansion of the middle school, including new classrooms, a multipurpose building, an outdoor play facility. The bond program also provided for district-wide safety, security, and technology improvements, as well as necessary demolition and sitework.
Gaston School District hired R&C Management Group to provide Owners Representative Services in Program and Project Management.
