Progress Update on Long-Awaited Bond Projects
Gervais, OR – The Gervais School District is making significant strides in its journey to enhance educational facilities, following the successful passage of a bond measure in the Spring of 2024. This bond, which marks a pivotal moment after a 30-year wait, is set to fund crucial improvements across the district's three schools.
Current Phase: Pre-Design with Arcadis
The district is currently in the pre-design phase, collaborating closely with Arcadis and various stakeholders to align goals, scope, and budgets. This phase is critical for ensuring that the planned upgrades will have the most substantial positive impact on students. The pre-design efforts include detailed planning for new classrooms and a commons building at the middle school, roof replacements and safety enhancements at the high school, and heating, cooling, and accessibility improvements at the elementary school.
